When To Use It: When you want to do something other than what you are doing now.
Why Use It: To determine what your options are.
How To Use It: Identify what the situation is you want to change. Use retrospection to identify where you are in this moment based on what you believe and what actions you have previously taken that have brought you to this situation. What choices did you make? How did that make you feel? Would you like to repeat that? Would you like to experience it again, the same way, feeling the same things? If not, what chances are you willing to take now, in order to make different choices, to change the outcome? Einstein said “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”
This will create a whole new set of feelings that may feel uncomfortable, but if you don’t do it differently, you will end up with the same result.
